Grace-Trinity’s Sunday school program started out similar to a one-room schoolhouse, with one deeply committed teacher working with four faithful children. However, in the last two years, through tenacious hard work and by the grace of God, the Sunday school has grown into 25 children ranging from ages 2-12.  There are 7 teachers who share the duties of teaching various classes: Infants and Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers and Kindergarteners, Juniors, and Seniors.  In addition, several youth group members help out with the Sunday school worship time, and support the teachers in every capacity possible.

The Sunday school meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. The routine begins with a general assembly, where the children learn new songs, and share in prayer and thanksgiving, before leaving for their classes.  Every class follows an age-appropriate workbook, which involves Bible study and hands-on activities.  During the summer of 2005, the older students learned the parables of Jesus during the summer vacation, and this year they will study the miracles of Jesus.  Also, for the first time the students were encouraged to memorize a list of Bible verses. This turned out to be a time of celebration, for as the Psalmist has said, ‘Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto path’.

Every first Sunday of the month, the children present a short program to the church in the form of music, drama, or dance.  Additionally, the pastor prepares a word for the children in the context of the sermon to be preached.

The pastors, teachers and members of Grace-Trinity Church are committed to the Christian upbringing of our children, and would like to see each one of them grow in the knowledge of Christ and His word.

In the last three years, the church has seen a sudden inflow of young families, who have moved into the Philadelphia area, and become a part of Grace-Trinity Church .  With a vision and desire to support this group, the associate pastor, Rev. Kamalesh Stephen and his wife, Sumithra, started the Young Couples Fellowship.

The group meets every third Saturday at the home of one of the members. There are about 12 couples that make up this very lively group.  The children are encouraged to come, and the older kids take care of the little ones, keeping them occupied with games and craft activities.

The fellowship consists of prayer for the members of the group, a brief Bible study, a couple of fun activities or games, and then a potluck lunch or dinner.  Whatever the program, one is always guaranteed a good time of fun and laughter.

This fellowship has helped to strengthen bonds between families and to create a support system so vital in this busy world.  Not only does this provide much needed down time, but has also helped the group to grow in faith.

The Young Couples Fellowship would be pleased to have new folk join us for these get-togethers.  Please contact Rev. Kamalesh Stephen for more information.

Recently a group consisting of ”40 and over, adults" was convened by the church members.

The objective of this group is twofold:

    ·   To be a source of support and encouragement to each other  in Christ,   and

    ·   To reach out to the less fortunate outside our church and offer our services and talents.

The first meeting was held at Fe and Banny Jesudason's house and was a huge success. We played a warm up game where we tried to get to know each other's interests and passions. We then had a brief time of fellowship, followed by excellent cuisine, Grace Trinity style and more games. As a group we decided we would start our mission by conducting a Sunday afternoon service for the residents of the WYNCOATE NURSING HOME  for seniors. It was very well received and we ourselves enjoyed doing this. We spent some time talking and visiting with the residents which were very rewarding for us and them.

We hope to do more outreach as a group in the near future, as we feel we have been so blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ and we would like to share it with those around.
